Greystone Education Funding consists of GCO Education Loan Funding Corp. (GCO ELF) and Private Academic Loans, LLC. GCO ELF acquires, holds and securitizes student loan assets originated under the Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP), providing student loan lenders with the liquidity they need to generate new loans and grow their businesses.

In addition, Private Academic Loans, LLC through a direct-to-consumer lending program called The Educated Borrower® offers private loans to individuals and families who require financial aid above and beyond the funds available through federal programs.

As higher education costs have risen, so has the need for sources of student loan funding. GCO ELF helps the student loan industry meet that demand by purchasing FFELP loans in the secondary market.

With an asset base exceeding $6 billion—and the support of global banking institutions—GCO ELF has immediate liquidity to acquire student loan portfolios of FFELP Stafford, PLUS and consolidation student loans, both through spot sales and forward purchase agreements.
